Volunteer Positions
Volunteer Coordinator
Volunteer to coordinate and communicate with volunteers. Duties include; contacting new volunteers to explain the shelter apartment makeover process, gathering contact information to add to the volunteer database and email distribution list. Communicating with volunteers pertaining to homeless shelter project scheduling, such as moveout and makeover project dates. General communications to all volunteers.

Makeover Volunteers to perform various duties including cleaning, painting and decorating shelter apartments.

Volunteers with Trucks to help pick up donated furniture and deliver to storage units and shelter locations.

Resale Store Volunteers to assist customers, hand out flyers, sort and price donated items. Resale Store is located in Pipersville and is open for business Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Volunteers shifts are 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., 12 p.m - 2 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Volunteer help is also needed Fridays from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. to process weekly donations.

eBay Volunteer to photograph, write descriptions and post items for sale on Deserving Decor eBay account. Time required: approximately 6 hours per week.

Crafter's to transform donated furnishings from ordinary into extraordinary with paint and new hardware.

Sewing Volunteers to sew window treatments, pillows and make alterations to existing donations.

Laundry Volunteers to launder bed linens, window treatments and towels.
